Who You’re Working With
Mission:
Studio Flamingo Designs was born to bring beautiful, sustainable furniture into more homes. Our pieces are made to last—both in style and in the memories they’ll help create. Whether it’s a cozy addition to your home or a statement piece for your business, we’re here to make it happen—with plenty of flair and a good laugh along the way.
We believe in doing right by the planet and everyone who calls it home (trees, oceans, animals, and people). From the materials we use to the way we work, we always choose what’s best—not what’s easiest. And if we’re not the perfect fit for you? That’s okay—we simply hope you’ll shop with care and keep sustainability in mind wherever your journey leads.
Why The Flamingo?
When it came to picking a name, we realized something: fine furniture can be a little... stuffy. While the makers are often playful and light-hearted, the branding tends to be buttoned-up. Enter the flamingo. Bold, colorful, and confident—it’s the perfect symbol of fun, friendliness, and elegance, all rolled into one.
We craft high-end pieces but don’t take ourselves too seriously. Plus, we know not everyone can splurge on fine hand-crafted furniture. That’s why part of our mission is to make beautiful, thoughtful design more affordable. We’re here to revive an appreciation for accessible, well-made home goods and rekindle the connection between people and the things they love—no mass manufacturing required.
Beyond their bold looks, flamingos stand for community and teamwork, which feels just right for what we’re building here.
About the Owner
Cameron Porter - founder and designer/builder at Studio Flamingo Designs.
Cam has had a long history of building with family that stayed with him through many jobs until he realized he could no longer build on the side, needing to take it full time. Furniture is a true passion for him and he loves to make meaningful items for people who will truly appreciate them for years to come.
A love of the natural world, especially of trees, informs his respect for the craft and the environment, valuing each gift of wood and treating it with respect so it can shine.
